Blayney Shire offers a range of educational services, both government and non-government. Blayney offers a range of educational services, both government and non-government. The quality of education is very high and the schools obtain some excellent results in external examinations and competitions. All schools provide co-educational tuition, with classes ranging from Pre-School through to Year 12. Blayney High School (Years 7-12) and St Josephs Central School (Kinder-Year 10) prepare students for the NSW School Certificate and Higher School Certificate both having achieved impressive results. As well as Blayney Public School (Kinder-Year 6) the Shire has 7 other public schools (Kinder-Year 6) in the villages of Millthorpe, Carcoar, Errowanbang, Mandurama, Lyndhurst, Neville and Newbridge. Several playgroups operate in the Shire on selected days each week. Parents attend with the children and learning experiences are organised and arranged by the adults in attendance. Tertiary Education Tertiary Education is available just 30 minutes drive from Blayney including TAFE campuses at both Orange and Bathurst, providing several courses in the information technology area and an extensive adult education program. Students wishing to complete their HSC studies outside a school environment may do so and the TAFE Institutes also work closely with industry and secondary education in providing programs that focus on vocational training. The University of Sydney - Orange Agricultural College is located at Orange and Charles Sturt University is located at Bathurst. Contact details | |||||||||||
