Community Strategic Plan and Consultation Report (August 2004)

Last modified: November 27, 2008 - 4:47 PM

The Blayney Community Strategic Plan has been developed following a process of community consultation through facilitated planning workshops funded through the Department of State and Regional Development. Initial data were collected through the Business Retention and Expansion Survey and census information for the Blayney LGA.

A series of community workshops were held in Blayney, Carcoar, Lyndhurst and Millthorpe. Participants in the community workshops, focused on the villages or town, identified Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) across the four dimensions of: * Economic development, * Physical environment, * Social and cultural aspects, and * Tourism. The Blayney Community Strategic Plan has been developed from the themes that focused the consultation process - economic development, physical environment, social and cultural aspects and tourism.
