"Blayney Shire 2025 All the pieces together" is the Community Strategic Plan for the Blayney Shire. It outlines what the people of Blayney Shire have said is important for their area. It is a plan for the whole shire, not just the Council. Council is a leader and custodian of the plan and is one of the parties responsible for its delivery.
This plan is the Council's highest level plan. It identifies the community's key objectives for the area as collected from our community engagement processes. It also includes strategies on how to achieve those objectives.
This document and related documents have been prepared in accord with the "Planning and Reporting Guidelines for Local Government" issued by the State government known as "integrated planning". These require that the Council integrate the Community Strategic Plan with a 4 year Delivery Program and a 1 year Operational Plan.
Following endorsement of the Community Engagement Strategy in 2011 a wide range of methods were used to involve the community in the development of the plan in the period August to November 2011.
A draft of the plan was placed on public exhibition from 14 November 2011 to 16 December 2011. Following consideration of the submissions received the Plan was endorsed by the Council at its meeting on 12 March 2012.
