Australia Day Awards

Members of the Blayney Shire community are invited to nominate persons whom they consider worthy of a 2010 Australia Day Award.
There will be three categories which include:
- Citizens Award: for a person who, in their vocational and voluntary activities, provided meritorious service to the community.
- Young Citizens Award: for a person who, in their vocational and voluntary activities, provided meritorious service to the community, and is under 26 years of age on January 26, 2010.
- Community Event of the Year Award: recognising effort and innovation displayed in a community event.
- Volunteer of the Year Award: recognising effort an individual who in their voluntary activities provided meritorious service to the community.
Nominations must be submitted on the prescribed nomination form, which are available from Council's website: www.blayney.local-e.nsw.gov.au or can be collected from the Council Office.
Nominations must be received at the Council Chambers up to 4.30 pm on Friday 4th December 2009.
