Blayney Shire has a diverse heritage which is embodied in those items which are still remaining and can illustrate past human occupation and development of an area.
The Blayney Shire area has a rich and diversified heritage which encompasses buildings, monuments, gardens, landscapes, archaeological sites in addition to the natural environment and Aboriginal heritage. Aboriginal relics and artefacts are primarily protected under the provisions of the National Parks and Wildlife Act, 1974. Listed heritage in the Shire is mainly European in nature. more .. Heritage Advisor & Local Heritage Fund - Published: 15 Jul 2004 The Blayney Shire Council and the Heritage Council of NSW have established a free architectural advisory services in Heritage matters. Together with the Federal Government, these two bodies have also established a Heritage Fund, to assist with advice in the restoration of heritage items within the Shire. The service is available to residents, property owners and occupiers within the Shire of Blayney. An Architectural Advisor has been appointed to assist the Public on all Heritage matters. more ..
