Designated Development

Designated development is development that is likely to have significant impact on the environment and, as such, is subject to special regulatory procedures. Examples of designated development include cement works, mines, extractive industries, turf farms and livestock intensive industries.See Division 5 of the Environmental Planning And Assessment Regulation 2000 for further information.
